Supercar Showoffs to be banned in London

When you step into Central London, you have a pretty good chance of seeing a high performance car - Not only does it spark a huge interest from petrolheads, some people can make a living from capturing footage of highly sought-after machines. Take Supercars Of London as an example, a YouTuber who became big as a result of filming exotic cars in the aforementioned city. However, for every petrolhead in London there are many other citizens who have no interest in cars and find hooning activities annoying. Under new plans, actions like engine revving, loud music and hard launches could be banned in supercar hotspots such as Knightsbridge and Chelsea.

This news comes in light of 'Supercar Season' where rich car enthusiasts from the Middle-East take some of their most prized possessions out of the garage and roar down city streets in order to gain attention. Regular sightings Include models of the finest manufacturers such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati and Mercedes and more exclusive firms. Some of these cars have been modified to be even louder, more brash and to some people, annoying. The new regulations aim to "improve the quality of life" for people in London (apart from car enthusiasts who enjoy such activities!)

If the new rules are given the go ahead, it will also be a criminal offence to drive in a convoy, honk your horn unnecessarily or even leave the car running while stationary. I mean come on, the last one is quite harsh, isn't it? The wealthy can still roam around the streets in their supercars, just not in such an exuberant manner.
