Frankfurt Motorshow 2015: So many car unveilings!

The annual Frankfurt motorshow will be taking place from the 17th to the 27th of September and that can only mean one thing: big car reveals. I'm sure there are going to be a number of surprises lined up but today has seen the première of a handful of models, so let's quickly run through some cars you can expect to be on display during Germany's motoring exhibition.

Bentley Bentayga

Being the first Sport Utility Vehicle produced by the firm, the Bentayga shows that Bentley is keen on making their presence known in a fast growing market. Bentley is not taking a subtle approach either, the company claims the Bentayga is "the fastest, most power, most luxurious and most exclusive SUV in the world." The stats don't lie, under the hood sits a 600hp Twin-Turbo W12 engine which is enough to propel the Bentayga from 0-60 in 4 seconds before reaching a top speed of 187mph.

It is not all about performance, as you would expect from a Bentley is comes with a host of luxury fittings. If the styling of the exterior didn't win you over, step inside and the traditional layout in the cockpit should do just that. It's pretty modern and high tech too, with a removable 10.2 inch tablet plus a 3.5 inch remote to control various settings such as climate control. The price for all this? Over £160,000, and that is before you start adding options such as the 20-speaker sound system.

Jaguar F-Pace

If the price of the Bentayga is too steep, then fear not! Jaguar is also entering the SUV market for the first time with the new F-Pace. Not many details are known about the F-Pace but if the teaser is anything to go by, we could have a radical crossover to look forward to. Keep it locked on Frize Feed to find out more!

VW Golf GTI Clubsport

To celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Golf GTI, Volkswagen has revealed the hottest variant of the GTI yet, the Clubsport. Designed to slot inbetween the GTI Performance and all wheel drive R models, the Clubsport utilises more radical styling features than any other model in the range. Power is up 35 hp from the GTI Performance to 260 hp and can produce up to 290 hp in overboost mode. Inside, you will find Alcantara bucket seats and racy styling touches.

Porsche 911

Being revealed a couple of days ago, the Porsche 911 facelift is less of a hot topic on the web right now. However, it is worth mentioning because it has endorsed one of the biggest changes in its evolving nature - turbocharged power units for the Carrera models.

The front has received some new touches, such as new LED headlights and a redesigned front bumper. The rear has more noticeable changes starting with the new ventilated engine cover to feed more air into the engine. The new vents in the lower rear bumper is where unwanted air is filtered out after passing through the intercooler. All of these vents have a function, you see?

Toyota Prius

This is by far the most controversial car to make a debut in Frankfurt, the fourth-generation Toyota Prius. Looking more... distinctive than ever before, the new Prius sits on a new platform which adds 60% more rigidity and 10% better fuel economy. It is larger than the outgoing model but the electrical components are now smaller without taking a hit on economy which results in more cabin space. Actual specifications have not been released but expect it to set the bar once again for hybrid efficiency. Meanwhile, can we find an angle where the Prius looks less polarising? Let's try the side...

It actually doesn't look bad, has a much sleeker profile than the outgoing model. How about the rear?

Once again, it is certainly "distinctive." Let's move on...

Honda Project 2&4

To finish off, we are taking another at another weird showcase, but this time something very different to anything seen before. This is the Project 2&4 created by Honda. The idea is to "freedom of a motorcycle" with "the maneuverability of a car." This car is extremely simple in design and utilises something called a "floating seat" pictured above. While it doesn't look entirely safe, it aims to put the "driver as close to the action as possible, evoking the freedom of a bike and completing the immersion provided by Honda Project 2&4’s extreme performance." What performance does the Project 2&4 offer you ask? Power comes from a V4 engine which can rev to over 14,000RPM and produce 215hp. In a car weighing 405kg, this should be an absolute rocket.
